I received a lovely brochure (unsolicited) of the 599GTB today. Anyone else got one yet?
I only own an F50 and 2 other Ferraris currently, why would I expect to get one? I guess buyers in that price bracket are relatively rare in your neck of the woods. Makes sense to target those in opposition brands.
Alas, I didn't find a brochure By any chance can you scan it(minus personal info) and show us. I can give you a Murcielago LP640 brochure in pdf format in return
Only....? They would never send me a 599 brochure as they know i couldnt even afford to put fuel in it.
http://www.coresworld.net/Lamborghini/Murci_lago_LP640_Product_Information_cdn.pdf (Ill post it up ahead of mhh, cause I know he is good for it, hahahah )
Also one of the Americans that has ordered a fully optioned LP640(carbon fibre, seats, brakes, interior etc), says all up its close to $USD400k($318k base), they would be converted to around $700-800k here???
Did you receive the Ferrari Events booklet this week? There is going to be a new official magazine (not FCA) sent out shortly apparently.
I'm not sure how it will scan as it is a hardcover. I might need to get someone to scan if for me as I'm not too sure how to use the office scanner and my PA is too busy. But I'll find a way somehow. Oh, and it is 80 odd pages. Would you settle for a pic or two?
Ateco don't sell the last 2 Ferraris that I have purchased, and nor could they if I enquired. Nevertheless, the F50 had it's initial service at Dixons (then Vic delaer) and lots of $ of parts are purchased through the official dealer. I also bought a brand new 360 Modena through Dixons.... Not that I am fussed mind you.
If anyone wants these brochures, they can be purchased on ebay every day of the week and twice on Sundays. I even managed to get the original F50 carbon fibre covered "owners presentation book" on ebay and they only made 400 or so of those.......
Being in the right social set counts for more these days. If you went to the recent dealer opening you would have seen plenty of beautiful people who have never owned a Ferrari and possibly never will.
It's the same here. A dealer launch is just about the worst way to see a new car you are interested in. Instead, it is the usual rent-a-crowd who will always get dressed up for a free drink.
uncle bob gave Chris one the other day when the maser was in for brakes. lovely hardback thing, she did pass a comment to uncle bob which made me laugh and uncle bob was speechless "are the brakes on the 599 any better than my maserati" and he said "no, why" and she came back with "well in 5000km on a $300k car the brakes on the maserati are useless, you people need to change them all the time!"
