I bought my 599 ('08) -used- in Dec of 2015 with 9,400 miles.

    + @ +/- 9,400 miles: “Percentage Clutch Wear" reads 26.98% (out of 100).
    + @ +/-13,400 miles: "Percentage Clutch Wear" reads 39% (out of 100).

Accordingly, I wore the clutch 12% during my +/- 4,000 driven miles ownership. No track events, no donuts, no hill climbing ...

All in, I figured that the clutch is worn at a rate of 2.87 ‰ per driven mile (or 2.87% per 100 miles).

Does that correspond to your experience with your car?
Does that correspond to the data that Ferrari has for clutch wear on 599s ?

Thank you in advance for your kind feedback.

Your math is off by a factor 10. You used 12% per 4000 miles = 0.3% per 100 miles... Extrapolating: 100% ~ 33k miles, which makes sense. Though, they don't always go 100% before needing replacement...

Thanks for the reply, and for the correct Math. Usually, with Ferraris, you never deal with percentile and anything behind the "point". What's important is 99% of the time in front of the "point" (i.e. purchase price, repair cost, maintenance) ;-)

Bottom line: you see nothing wrong with the current wear-and-tear. Correct?

Personally, I would not be alarmed if I got 33k miles out of my 612 F1 clutch - would I like more, sure... If I recall correctly, Taz extrapolated the use of his 575 F1 clutch to last a bit longer... Remember, these wear numbers are estimation by algorithm in the TCU, and not actual "measurements".

Any ideas as to what one should expect pay to have the clutch replaced at a USA dealer?
