Hi Guys Ferrari will make a 599 convertible. It will be a Strictly limited number production and much anticipated to sell out. 599 production will continue as usual. Apparently all is developed just waiting for the right time make the most impact. Let you know as soon as I get the order confirmed. Regards Mike

I only hope it will be a real convertible,with real soft (hopefully) top that is usable ,unlike that disaster 550 Barchetta.
It will be NOT soft top convertible for sure, it is no use even to dream about it. Ferrari is focusing now on developing different hard top retractable roof constructions and we will see only hard top retractable roof constructions on ALL Ferrari future convertibles starting with "F149", 599 Spider and continuing with "F142" Spider. Best.
That is about right for an estimated MSRP---what they actually sell for is a different story.....The law of supply and demand will dictate pricing..
Well equipped 599 stickers at mid $350k currently(market value closer to $500k),so I assume at least $100k for the "convertible" option.
Hi Guys Should have the order's confirmed by end of January. I will then find out exactly when I will be receiving the cars. (Have had orders confirmed for F149 x 2, Delivery straight after Paris show). Will let you know what's, what with these orders. On the pricing again a better idea in January. I know i am bringing up a very old thread...But with all the attention/news that is surrounding the GTO, does anyone know if ferrari will be coming out with a topless version of the 599??

No worries, it just seems odd that in 2007 some well connected people confirmed that this car will be built, and we have heard very little since then..Has the factory elected not to build a topless 599 and focus on the XX/GTO instead? Or will this be a car that will be released for the last 1-2 years of 599 production?
the way i understand it these are the last two tyears of 599 production, i think the replacment is coming in 2012 at the latest
OOOO, Careful there cowboy. The car is sweet, it is that folding thingy that they gave me with the car that is the problem. I took it out of the garage last week (the top, that is) and opened it up--going to wrap it in plastic before the summer pollen strikes. A lizard jumped out. I think that is the best use for that contraption--a lizard perch.
