599 driver's window problem

I have searched forum but have been unable to find a similar problem where when you open the driver's door the window drops completely down but does not go up when you shut the door. I have tried lowering the window all the way down and holding the switch for a few seconds and then raising it completely and holding the switch a few seconds again. That has been described as a technique on other cars I have and usually works in a situation where the battery has discharged. That occasionally works on my 599 but doesn't last. Anyone know a fix. Thanks.
