Does the 599 have fuel filters downstream the fuel pumps like the 550 ?

I have been checking the online parts diagram, but I couldn’t find any.

Are the filters integrated with pumps ? And how can they be cleaned ?

    Thanks.

Starting with the 575M, the fuel filters were incorporated into the fuel pumps. They are not normally service items since they are quite large and are the diameter of the fuel pump assembly.

Which to me isn't a very intelligent solution because I can only imagine what a fuel pump replacement might cost.

Works fine. No problems with the late model filters. Fuel pumps have had to be changed, usually because of cracked plastic covers, but none I have heard for fuel filters. Less maintenance requirements is better.

Is there a time frame to change the 599 pumps to be on the safe side?Mike

No, doing that is probably around $1500-2000, so not something you want to do unless you have to.
