Try calling these guys. They have the car sitting for sale in their showroom. 2008 Ferrari 599 GTB | Antique Auto Sales, Classic Cars, Exotic Automobiles | The Classic Car Gallery | Southport, CT
Has anyone ever driven a GTO and a manual ? If so, Just curious to know which one they prefer to keep if one had to make the choice.
To drive I would go with the GTO. The manual felt like an afterthought when I drove it, I did not care for how it drove. Should have bought it in 2009 when I tried it out!
I was trying to get my father to buy a manual TDF 599 with dark blue interior (I'm sure Mr. Massini would know exactly which one this is). It was sitting around in our Swiss classifieds forever (approx 130k CHF with very low miles, 5-6 years ago, when F1 cars were still around 200k). I always knew these cars would fetch big money one day. Unfortunately, my father wasn't interested in a manual car What a shame!
I have asked people to provide 599 manual serial numbers (and photos) on this thread, which could also be entitled "The 599 Manual Register."
The last gated 599 on the market (last month) was the Nick Cage car. It may have sold as it's no longer advertised in the Ferrari Market Letter. Here's the ad (no affiliation): 599 GTB FIORANO, VIN ZFFFC60A980159626 (2008 CDN model). Rosso corsa with tan interior. 6-speed transmission. Daytona seats, full carbon fiber cabin including seats, door sills, mirrors, fender shields and wheel hubs. Too many factory options to list here. HGTE package added by the dealer. Fabulous overall, well cared for and maintained. Third owner. 19,000 miles. $565,000.
Just remember that 12 months ago no one gave a **** about a manual 599. It's quite possible no one will give a **** about it 12 months from now either.
Not likely, with Ferrari making it clear there are no plans for future MT cars. This is very disappointing. Its bad enough that enthusiasts have to fight over the few remaining used models; but, the limited edition nature of modern MT cars naturally attracts collectors & prospectors, which drives up the prices much further. If Ferrari would start producing MT cars again, then the prices of used MT cars would fall.
Fuel in the fire for the haters New, Used Ferrari 599 6 speed manual at CNC Motors Inc. Serving Ontario, CA Interesting cross reference in the sellers text to (achieved) prices of 575 manuals. Even though the 575 manuals have quite a burden with the aprox. 3000 550s, which are pretty much the same car, they fetch quite a premium. (please do not point out differences 550/575 now, you know what I mean). This manual trend is only just starting and it is not only Fcars. Just look at price increases for 996/997 GT3/RS. And there really are enough of them out there. In the future all gated shifters in 2-seaters will not only bring driving pleasure to their owners. Everything counted together, those few 599 manuals have quite an interesting future ahead of them...
It appears CNC bought the Cage manual and has bumped-up the price a bit (with an interesting mileage discrepancy).
This is 182599... That is not my dash plate as mentioned above. Mine says that but in Italian...and yes mine is a US car.
Mr Carcraazy... it appears you forgot to up-load your photos... Anyway, here is 159626, a Canadian car with tan Daytona seats, which happens to be currently available with Mike Sheehan (no affiliation). This car has distinctive carbon fiber door handles, gas flap, and shields. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Here are links to the two red 599 gated-sticks on the market now in the high 500s: CNC: CNC-MOTORS.COM Sheehan: 2008 Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano HGTE Serial Number 159626 - main page It's interesting that both are relatively high-mileage and both spent time in Canada. Glad to see owners enjoying these old-school beasts.
