That is an interesting look inside the panel. I know that it won't be long until my LCD screen on the left will have to be replaced. It gets very dim on cold days, and only becomes readable after the car has warmed up for ten or fifteen minutes.
My take after watching the video is that the screen isn’t dim because the screen itself is defective, rather an obscure diode and some other contacts (he ultimately repairs) reduce the power heading to the screen. I could be wrong, but doesn’t the video start with a dim screen and after the repairs is perfectly legible?
