I'm currently trying to extricate my gauge cluster from the car. As per the workshop manual, there are two screws holding in the binnacle from the bottom. However, with these two screws removed, something is still catching at the back of the binnacle. I believe its those two metal clips but I'm at a lost for how to actually pull the damn thing out. Thanks for your help folks!

For how long was your screen "out"....and which gauges involved? I am starting to experience same...left side..1-2 sec dark, then return. Is there usually a single fault responsible or myriad potential electrical issues with same result. Pls follow-up when completed, I'd like to know how ultimately compares to mine.
    thx, JN

So here's what happened with mine. Initially I had the following symptons - my left screen would go out for many minutes at a time, sometimes up to 30 minutes. Then sometimes the entire gauge cluster would go dead - no speedometer, no tac, nothing. My shift light would also go out for long periods of time. I sent it to Rod at FAI and he let me know that the powersupply was bad (and that the circuit was fine). When I got it back, still had issues with the screen flashing. Sent it back and Rod fixed it under warranty. Yet to put it back in the car and see if its all fixed. I highly recomment sending it to FAI, they are basically the best and a very honest company.

Rod rebuilt my Superamerica instrument panel. Very reliable.
