Nice job. The gated shifter plate and the carbon surround work perfectly together. Just the right amount of contrast with the interior. Lovin it.

Looks nice. The gate provides a nice contrast against the CF.

I'll give some kudos, and maybe some free shipping, to anyone who can define all the things a certain company did for F1 Italy's 599.

Good job on this pieces that are very nice to complete the 599 interior.
Can MaCarbon make external pieces like side lips under side skirts or the external mirrors covers at correct prices?

We're more of an interior company. Exterior stuff can be done (we've done a set of mirrors) but custom bodywork is not what we do. We price things as best as possible but small volumes with expensive materials and people is not a recipe for cheap parts. But we don't charge what a Mansory would!

Manual Transmission. Honestly, this is my first time seeing a stick on a 599.

John- Thank you for the PM and the information! :)

I was unable to reply to it as apparently you have selected an option that blocks incoming PMs.

A stick in a ferrari. Very rare sight. It bring a tear to my eye. I would love to own any ferrari and my first one would have a Manual transmission if I had my choice.

I stopped by John's house over the weekend to take some additional pictures. Carbon can be very dificult to photgraph well. John's 599 is immaculate with only a few thousand miles on it. I was very impressed! And thanks to John for making the time to let me take the pictures.

We did the following for him:
    - Repair and refinish of the entire console. The clear coat had been badly chipped in several places by someone trying to remove the button surround at some point.
    - Carbon Ashtray
    - Carbon Button Surround
    - Carbon Handbrake with Button
    - Carbon Storage Tray Liner.

I'm happy with how all the parts turned out. I think they make a nice subtle enhancement to the car. We made sure to use the correct weave/orientation of the carbon so that they matched the stock console. I really like the storage tray and the button surround. The surround is the soft-touch plastic that looks out of place on the console. The storage tray is just plain cool.

Most of the parts are laminates although the storage tray is a molded carbon piece. You can order these pars from us through our website. Or by PM or phone.

The ashtray may be a one-off. The ashtray itself from Ferrari is ridiculously expensive ($350 if I remember correctly) and the CF required so much fiddling, it was not a fun project. I someone really wants one... give me a call.

Here is the link to the 599 center console section on our site. This will describe pricing and availability. Right now, all the parts would be made to order. We don't have any in stock.

we are interested in doing more parts for the 599. We have been working on some mirror triangles. we could do many of the other bits in the interior but are pretty much customer driver for the 599. And there have not been many requests. But feel free to contact us if you'd like something.

John - what's the process for doing the side view mirrors and approximate cost? Thanks.

    Chris,

We did the 599 mirrors as laminates. Not enough demand to tool for molded carbon pieces.
So we need a set of mirrors to work on. Due to the cost from Ferrari, we have not purchased any to use as cores. Ferrari charges 26 times what Porsche charges for a set of mirrors ($4K vs $150). And used 599 parts are very rare. So you have to send yours into us for processing. It takes about 3 weeks. Fiorano57 has given us permission to use his pics on our site so we'll add the mirrors to the website (with pricing) in the next day or so.
