    Fellow 599 owners/enthusiasts:

I received my bimonthly copy of Cavallino magazine almost two weeks ago and their featured car for this June/July 2025 edition #267 is our beloved 599 GTB and its many variants with historical data from initial years of concept design at Pininfarina, then the preferred version from Jason Castriota's sketches, including Luca de Montezemolo's and dealers' managements' influences on the final design, all the way to the ultimate 599XX Evoluzione iteration, etc.

IMHO, it's worth the extra $$ to buy a copy online or at a nearby bookstore for you to keep for posterity.

Disclaimer: I'm neither an employee nor associated with Canossa which publishes the Cavallino magazine.

History part has several errors, typical for Cavallino now.

    Hey Terry,

Often nowadays, "truth" is a version of any pundit's opinion or interpretation likely based on 'hearsay' evidence rather than a qualified, extensive unbiased research on the subject with those directly involved or a first-person revelation.

Just too many so-called 'experts' in media.

One of my engineering colleagues defined 'expert' per its pronunciation as:
Ex - an unknown item / Spurt - a drip under pressure

Let me dig the article up. Off the top of my head saying the 575M was the first F1 Ferrari, actually the first V12 F1 Ferrari. Then going on about how it was an all-new aluminum chassis when it really was a shortened evolution of the all-aluminum 612 chassis from 2003/4. More later.

Cavallino seems to have lost much of the technical editing they used to have. Articles written by folks who do not really understand Ferrari history or model and powerplant evolution.

A couple of interesting items from the articles:
    - the 599 GTB was developed virtually without a master model for validation
    - according to the head of Recaro, the 599 seats were the most expensive ever designed, the best with available technology at the time
