It took me a while to come to my senses and finally change the deck. I got a deck with Apple car play and ran the cord to the center console with a very long cord. I tried everything else, don’t waste you time and save the old deck [emoji1417]

That is about as close to OEM looking as possible, beautiful unit.

 

Depending on how fat your hands are yes - i can work them adequately - ideally the unit would sit a bit higher up - but i left my flap (ooeerrr) installed so it was a simple swap out if i came to sell - the original install that i saw had the flap removed so it sat a bit higher up.

Refreshing this topic. Any 599 owners with examples of iPhone holders?

Magnetic holders? Dashboard mount? Suction mount to windscreen? Console mount? Lighter socket mount?

I have the original Becker radio with optional iPod cable. Not intending to change the headunit for now, but I am looking for a clean solution to hold my phone. Windscreen and dashboard mounts are easy to find. I don’t know if I want to stick a mount on the dashboard with the risk of damaging the leather.

Looks very good, but once applied, I think it can’t be removed without damage.

I've used this on temp basis. Works well enough but sometimes need both air vents when 2 people are in the car.
