There seems to be compaints about the current 599GTB: namely that is soft in the belly, too cush.
What would current 599 owners like to change and what do future purchasers want?

    1. Are there too many bells and whistlers, adjustible this and thats in the current car?
    2. How about loosing 700 lbs. ?
    3. Do you want rock hard, stiff suspension, and lithe soundproofing like an F40?
    4. How about a car you can drive to the track, compete, at say Sebring, and do quite well (thank you very much) and then drive it home, like the good old days in a 250 SWB?

Weigh in, gentlemen, maybe Montezemolo is listening...

It is already a C... Standard equipment.

Point 3 is every last millenium in the world of Delphi. There is no need for compromise in comfort to have great performance for a road car on the track. 997 GT3 RS is another good example.

Car should be a 599 Scuderia. Less weight, Superfast 2, more horsepower and much better aero, better seats, rawer feel in the interior, proper rollbar a la GT3RS as opposed to the stupid gentleman's rollbar option in the 599..., 430S manetino

A road car can never compete on the track in this day and age. Never. You need to stick to vintage cars if you like the romance of a 250 SWB

I have had 2 599's and am now very happy to be 599-less as I await my 430S. As a GT car 599 is fantastic but for those of us who like a rawer experience it gets boring rather quickly

I LOVE my 599 - No complaints here - it is perfect - It is NOT a Scuderia - and was not intended as such (that is why they are doing the Scuderia) - nor is it an F430 or a CS. Different approach, attitude and execution - as intended - Like an F430 coupe versus F430 Spider - From personal experience, I can tell you that the coupe is a much different car from a handling and general driving POV than the F430 Spider - Better? Nope. Just different.

A small point, but incredibly important :))) -- the 599 engine is in the front, so you ain't gonna get the F430 sensation (sound, balance, handling, general dynamics, and physics, etc.) in any event. My personal experience with the 599 is that when pushed hard, it responds - takes on another dimenson incredibly so. Is it my F430? Nope - did not want or expect that -

BTW, been there and done that with the weigh weenie approach and aftermarket exhausts - neither of which would add anything appreciable, performance-wise (if you want the sensation of sound and rawness, do the aftermarket exhaust and pull out the rear shelf and carpeting and junk in the trunk). The 599 does not need for a rock hard suspension - it is plenty stiff (even MS insisted on a less-than-kidney shaking ride in the Scuderia noting that a hard ride does NOT necessarily equal palpable performance gains).

Ah, you never know... maybe there will be a "showroom stock" class at Sebring someday.
(And by "599GTC". I should have said "599GTB/C" for "competitzione", ala 275GTB/C.)

No need to track it. I have better weapons for the track! 599 is too heavy. I used a couple of Ferraris' 599's on 2 tracks and it is not for me
