A shame there is no mention whatsoever of the FXX program and the GTO’s development—he is clearly ignorant of the aerodynamic design differences, and even the reason for the characteristic exhaust note he claims to relish. He speaks of the extra power over the 599 but doesnt quote the test tracks times in comparison. Very disappointing as a superficial shallow review. Too bad.
Doug D is about as interesting as reading the owners manual
His ratings are also very personal-opinion based, after all they are "DougScores."
Doug has a bit of an annoying delivery, IMO, but I thought the video was informative. 599 GTO is one of my dream cars, and I learned a few new tidbits that I didn't know before...T
Every time I see this thread, I think it means "599GTO Daily Driver"-- which would be a cool thread.
me too. and it depends on age. 23 - np. 43, wld get to be a bit of a hassle.
Thats exactly what i thought ...wonder if anyone has done that for that matter dont think i have seen any with more than 10k miles on it not even sure of that
All true. I DD my 599 but not a GTO.
Some months ago, there was a 599 GTO with a lot more than 100.000 km on the clock for sale.
Don't remember the exact location, it was Europe I believe.
So this could be a really DD GTO.
Was it part of a rental fleet?
Sorry, I don't know.
If I recall correctly it was a car with something like 250k km's or something ridiculous like that, was used as a daily driver.
