    Guys.....

For all those of you who have spec'd or about to spec your cars I am playing with the idea of going with the Electric seat option (standard 599 seats) instead of the Sport seats (Scud style) on my GTO. I would appreciate your thoughts/advice on this......

    Thanks....

Great option--and the ONLY one we have in the US :)....to be honest, time in the cabin and actual use would probably be my deciding factor IF I had a choice. If its expected to be a track pup, then obviously the sport/scud style seem the best choice. If its instead something you use more for road trips and occasionally just around the hood, I'd probaly opt for the standard 599 electric option.

The car is a beast, I can't imagine t with anything but sport seats. They just go together.

I thought they were offering the sport seats in the US. I was under the impression that they had airbags now like the optional Porsche carbon seats.Dissappointing.

i've ordered full Daytona electric seats in my GTO -- realize there is a weight penalty but so what -- it's the one nod to comfort in the car and the Daytonas on my HGTE are fantastic: they both look the aprt and feel incredibly comfortable.

I had hoped to spec my car with that option. Neither my dealer or I are aware that sport seats are not available on U.S. cars. Say it ain't so!

As I said, having just finished the spec process, all that could be checked in US was so called standard recaro 599 sport seats...that's NOT the seats shown with the car in all the reviews to date, NOT the seats shown at the preview in Modena and NOT the seats that others have called: Scud style...

But, as I said, who knows in the few months?

What seats did you end up spec'ing? I'm not a big Recaro fan but believe the GTO should have a sport seat. On the other hand my 599 GTB had Daytona's and I found them extremely comfortable but not a very good track seat. I felt that a Scud seat represented the best of both worlds. Now....?

They are the same seats as so called 599 GTB Daytonas...apparently, are made by recaro now and can be ordered with/without electric. Agreed on sport/scud seat but these are the option in the US market at this time.

Is the stitched cavalino and GTO lettering standard on the seats?
Any photo of the location of the GTO lettering?

Stiched is standard on alcantara but an option on leather. The standard on leather is embosed. The GTO lettering is also an optional extra (in fact you can have anything you want put on the headrests at an additional cost). In my case the GTO lettering will be centered just below the cavalino on the headrests.

thks for clarifying. Yes, would be nice to have GTO on the seats as well. On the back rest would be too low, on the headrest would be great.
Can anyone offer pixs of this?

Sports seats (Scud style). No doubt. They are great on the track yet comfortable enough for "normal" road use.

Did 35 laps on Spa yesterday and drove home afterwards (= total of +/- 550 kms) and no soar back. The Scud Style seats just work well with the car. Daytona's are for the GTB and HGTE imo.
