Wow. Thanks. Very similar to the many renderings we have seen. It will be a stunning car. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I found this on Facebook, it looks like a presentation of the new 599 GTO: http://photos-c.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc3/hs476.snc3/26098_1413685982416_1240547453_1627659_1691017_n.jpg
Hopefully it's significantly less than the base version. But the two-tone doesn't do it any favors, IMHO. It looks a little Viper-ish up front now.
If memory serves it comes in aprox. 100 kilos or 220 pounds less than a standard 599 Which brings it down to about 3500 from aprox. 3740 lbs.
I believe that 3740 number is dry. I've seen a "measured" curb weight of approx. 3950 lbs, IIRC. At 3700, it would be hardly light (The Car&Driver 599XX review says that's 3350). Still, with nearly 700 hp and updated chassis control software (the real leap forward of recent years) it'll be a beast!
The 599 has always been a heavy car, so it's no suprise of the weight of this thing. To me this is a real slegehammer of a car. I love it.
I'd heard approx 1570 kilos...but then don't know how accurate that is...anybody remember from the tech presentation? But no matter, with its dynamic package, it is STILL a nasty beast and brut of a car...
I was hoping there would be that "flap". from what i see i would have been glad that car was named Scuderia or C.stradale, i don't feel the "GTO spirit" whatever that is. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I don't get it either - but I didn't get the 612 Sessenta Makes me go back to waiting for a 16M to hit 225 next year
