12 hours is actually pretty good if it is your first time around. You must have done some struggling leaving the seats in place. I am putting mind back together now and decided to document it in the technical Q&A section so others could see what is involved and tackle it should they have a mind to. Usually if you wait long enough though, the urge will pass. You might want to check out my thread and had your thoughts and experiences. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/technical-q/549223-ferrari-599-dash-install.html

    Terry,

there is a high quality leather shop here in Columbus called J&J Upholstery. Unfortunately I think a lot of these places are getting out of the custom, high end work and focusing on insurance claim type repairs. Trying to get it done locally rather than sending it off, the leather sample they gave is really great. I won't have the word "AIRBAG" embossed on the airbag cover, but that's about the only thing they cannot do.

Chad - strong work. Reach out to Johann at CoachTrim in CT - he can emboss "AIRBAG"

    Tell Johann I sent you.

Chad- They sound very competent. Coachwork does really first class work, too, and have all the factory gizmos.

I ended up going with Coachtrim, seems like it was the better option all the way around.

I think you will be happy. I've got a crate here of my 355 leather from Johann since Xmas that I've not had time to open and even look at. Hopefully in a week or so I can get at it.

Can anybody recommend a similar outfit in northern CA ? I woke up to a popped dashboard very similar to this. It was perfect last time I drove the car. I'll pull it out on Monday but don't know where to send it.

Send it to Coachtrim, they get dashboards from all over the country. Their work is excellent.
