    Hello,

I want a model of my 599. I would prefer no opening compartments (you just wind up with totally out of scale panel gaps) and 1/24 scale. I would prefer resin/plastic, but would settle for diecast. I would also settle for 1/18 or 1/43 if that was the only option.

I would like to keep the price under $2,000, but I am flexible.

Interior must be viewable through the windows. Realism is the most important part to me. BBR/MR level is quality. Not Hot Wheels Elite.

Does anybody know where I can find a service/person that builds custom cars? All I know of is Amalgam, but their prices are silly and the models too big. Found a couple via google search, but they either don't reply or only build oddities (like dirt track racecars).

    Thanks!!
    Ricky

MR Collection in Italy used to make the custom models for Ferrari (in 1/43), they have a tailor made service for 1/43 and 1/18 (it's not as extensive as Amalgam in terms of configuration, but you still have many options); they may not still make the older models though - you'd need to ask them.

Fujimi and Revell Germany made good kits in 1/24th scale. Hobby Designs also made a real nice detail set for that kit. I think the Aperta kit has the wheels like on your car. I just put the ebay to show the kit. That guy's prices are not right.

Maybe ask Marshall Buck if he knows any builders. If you want it really well done it will be more than a MR or BBR as these are special commissions.

There are not many 599 models out there that I'm aware of. I have two 1/18 scale versions - one regular GTB that I modded to look like mine, and another one that is a GTO that I modded as well... There is a 1/43 scale version as well I think its Hotwheels that is very nice - but has the Star wheels. the hardest thing with modding is finding the right wheels, and I dont think there are any HGTE wheel sets out there that I'm aware of. If you want a custom model I fear it will be 4- 5 figures.... I'd go with Amalgam for realism.

BBR will be making the 599GTB in1/18 and has 13 different versions available for preorder, however I did not see your color. That said, it may be worth keeping an eye on their website to see if they end up making a version that is close to your spec.
