anyone agree? i just think that the double tailights are what make a ferrari just my opinion, but i think it looks like one of those fu(ked-up hondas that someone tried to make "custom" by shaving a tailight on the trunk. i just dont think it looks right. discuss.
From that picture the double tail-lights look awkward. I'm not sure if there's a way to have them without it looking bad, it distorts the design of the car too much. Remember, Ferrari's don't always have double tail-lights.

Thats the thing, since the 599 only has one taillight per side it is bigger than the usual size for the double setup. I think it would look out of place with 2 on each side, I quite like the set up it has.
That is amazing. Congrats on the great photoshop skills. I definitely like the two light format much more than the single light format.
with 4 headlights, in my opinion it looks exactly like the back of a corvette, no doubt the ferrari is still a better car taillights or not
The dual-tailight photoshop just gave me a better reason to say that it looks perfect with only 2 taillights. If any of you see the car in person, you would love the way it is right now. BTW The photoshop makes the 599 look like an older car.
Yeah, I definetely agree. When I saw the official pics for the first time, I absolutely hated the design, but when I saw it in Geneva, it just made so much more sense.
That looks so weird, with a really long narrow trunk opening. There is nowhere on the rear of this car to put double lights. The single lights look really good. I was following my car home last weekend (my wife was driving it and I was driving a 365 GTS/4) from the FCA holiday party and the tail lights looked great. Doubles would be overkill on this car.
Just like the Enzo, 612, F430... pretty much any recent Ferrari design. And even some of the old ones. I look at photos (that even I took) of the F40 and I go "what a boring shape". Then I go and look at one in a showroom, or at an event, and I say to myself "what a beautiful design".
I really can not agree. Not all Ferraris of the past had double tailights. It looks quite nice the way it is.
I have nothing against the vintage cars with a single light on each side but I have always thought that the 599 looks awkward. I don't necessarily agree that 4 taillights as pictured is the perfect example but I don't think the factory's design is spot on - It has always looked like it's missing something to me. I guess I'm just hard to please. Cheers
