Has anyone installed the novitec adjustable suspension system on their 599? I like the idea of the adjustable height for getting over curbs and driveways, etc. However, have not really heard anything about it from users.

Anyone have any experience with this system? Very expensive, running close to 20K I think.

    Hi,

My friend has a 599 with Novitec rims. He told me that he lowered the car and has the adjustable front height. The car looks mean and he said that the ride quality is not bad. However, the car is seldom used and so i don't know how accurate he is. Didn't ask the price of his mods though.

    Cheers

Have you thought about doing the roberuta system? I like them more than the standard KW/Novitec system because the air is kept in a small canister charged with air to lift the car quickly. Their hardware is very impressive.

I have the Novitec suspension kit installed on my car. I really like it because I found the stock suspension to be really soft and there was too much roll in the corner.

I thought about getting the HGTE package and couldn't justify the price premium as the Novitec kit offered more adjustment range and the lift system capabilities. I have to warn you though, the installation is no walk in the park, you have to remove the rear shelf in order to run the lines to have the switch into the cabinet. Or you can skip the inside switch (and save you some hours in install time) and just use the wireless remote control.

However, the ability to jack the car up when you reach a steep driveway or a huge speed bump is priceless, and the system works very well.

I will post some pictures of the car when the car is back. I have the switch installed inside the cigarette lighter console. The car is currently getting the Novitec bodykit (without the ugly wings!).

So is the stock ride height insufficient for going over normal speed bumps?

Not when you have lowered the car. The car in stock ride height looks like a SUV. This is the reason why even Ferrari has lowered the ride height of the HGTE cars by 10mm.

Aah , okay. So the stock height is fine for normal speed bumps. Thanks.
