Low water mark set? http://losangeles.craigslist.org/lac/ctd/824736535.html * don't know the guy or the car......just caught the ad on CL.
search the VIN. the car shows it was for sale at McKenna Porsche (now gone). It car in the pics had a black interior and yellow calipers http://www.carcasher.com/vehicle:701577-(2007-Ferrari-512TR) btw it in on Houston's Craigslist also
Very interesting, as these photos are of JeffB's 599, which were taken in front of his house. JeffB's car is within my eyesight, on our showroom floor right now. They give the description of JeffB's car, but both VIN and mileage are not the same.
The guy is also running another ad for a Bentley GTC..... http://losangeles.craigslist.org/lac/ctd/825828162.html The car in the ad's pics were taken in front of a dealer that I know of, which is definitely not this guy listing the ad.
Be Careful. I emailed the seller to see the car and he said I needed to send my my to an "escrow account" , then I can see it. "The seller is too busy to be bothered and they have too many offers to see it".
I'm sending them 700k for both cars, they can send me 275k difference back, keep the 425k Shoot this thread to JeffB, and LJ (Ray? I can't remember his name).
Tell them your wife wants you to trade in your Pristine condition Enzo since your newborn son cant ride in the back....you would be willing to do an even trade.....see what they say
Yesterday's interaction: Hi Derek, That's perfect except for one thing: There are three Ferrari dealers here, all within a few miles. Which one will it be at and how do I contact you after viewing? Also, will I need to make an appointment with someone there? Thanks -------------------------- Per the escrow agreement, the choice of dealer, private mechanic, or your own evaluation for the inspection is yours. You have up to 10 days to make a decision, during which you can book the car in to the dealer of your choice, or examine it yourself. Accepting or rejecting the car is automated through the escrow company's interface, which basically handles everything, for the rest of the transaction. Regarding shipping, we can either deliver the car to your home, or to the Ferrari dealer of your choice, any of the two is fine. Derek -------------------------------- Today's response: Derek, I will have an escrow agreement drafted and account opened by Tuesday morning. I would like the car to be standing at Ferrari of Orange County that afternoon for inspection. I will have Alan at the ready and meet him there to inspect the car. Who is your representation? I'm very excited about this. -------------------------------- Stand by!
Here comes the big surprise...... For the escrow we would prefer the services of our regular escrow company, CTS Capital, their website www.ctscapital.net . Other than that, we can pretty much accept your terms. We will have one of out Ferrari mechanics accompany the car, the next afternoon after payment is cleared by the escrow company. Derek
My response (Let's see if they actually try one more time before they go deep) ----------------------- Derek, I have been using the same people for many years and have a good working relationship with them. I would prefer to use either mine or, if you would insist upon it, a neutral third party escrow company. They have informed me that they can accommodate our transaction on Monday morning so we can move this up a day. Is the car close enough to Orange County Ferrari to get it there by Monday afternoon after the verification of funds is in your hands? Other than this little bit of minutiae, would you be able to possibly scan in and email whatever service records you have on the car? Please let me know ASAP as the are waiting to hear from me. Regards
Not quite. He's leading on a scammer, who is trying to market a 599 that is definitely not his. Darth is just messing with him. Check out the first page, it's worth it.
