uncle Bob said it was 600 max and could possibly be lower, Wheels reckon its gonna be 700k (crap) but he did say they were bringing 20 into Aust later this year. ..............and he said do i wanna put a deposit on one? NO cos in about 3-5 years there is the dreaded 12 cyl tear up to below 50%
599K and in 3 years = 250k+, a really good investment, at least the 430 will hold up, but then show me any 12 cyl car ever produced that didnt tear up, like Jag V12 (dumb move) Daimler V12 (sorry double 6) ((very dumb move)) i think lambo is the only one that tore up only in small bits
Well alot of ppl here seem to be on the 1st on list scene, I dont think loosing alot of money is part of the equation Id rather be in the "can afford to loose" then "cant afford" group (working on changing groups haha). Still Id be interested to see what numbers this car does compared to the 550/575 it replaces.
Italian car show in Perth on Sunday - two days' ago. There was a 1990 Lambo. 25th anniversary model. I was stunned to read on an information sheet displayed on the windscreen that the new price when originally sold in Perth was $680,000. As you say, goober, all V12's seem to dive bomb in value.
Im with you there buddy. And the 599 will follow suit a couple of years later when they release the model after that. But they will all still be out of my price range for a while yet
yep, $670k according to redbook: http://www.redbookasiapacific.com/au/vehicle/prices.php?key=LAMB90AA $200k in '84: http://www.redbookasiapacific.com/au/vehicle/prices.php?key=LAMB84AB $700k for a diablo in '91: http://www.redbookasiapacific.com/au/vehicle/prices.php?key=LAMB91AB $500k in '01: http://www.redbookasiapacific.com/au/vehicle/prices.php?key=LAMB01AA $225k for a 348tb in '91: http://www.redbookasiapacific.com/au/vehicle/prices.php?key=FERR91AC $160k for an NSX in '91: http://www.redbookasiapacific.com/au/vehicle/prices.php?key=HOND91BC $37k for a 318i in '90: http://www.redbookasiapacific.com/au/vehicle/prices.php?key=BMW+90AB $23k for a commode-door in '90: http://www.redbookasiapacific.com/au/vehicle/prices.php?key=HOLD90BL $32k for an X1/9 in '89: http://www.redbookasiapacific.com/au/vehicle/prices.php?key=BERT89AA only dropped about 66% in price, obviously the best of the lot.
From what I recall tho, was ther 25th was given a HUGE premium over the previous model it replaced. http://www.redbookasiapacific.com/au/vehicle/prices.php?key=LAMB88AB yeap $160k more than the LP500 from 88........
The 2007 599 GTC. US$250K. Looks a little better with the different,360CS style wheels over the f*cked stocko wheels Image Unavailable, Please Login
This has probably been mentioned; but allocation of the "bread & butter" V8's is determined by sales of the "hard to move" high dollar V12's. The clever marketing is to bring the 12's in cheaper, boost the sales and thereby also increase V8 allocations. I am guessing that the margins will be made up in the lengthy options lists on the 599. If you want the Fiorano pack, be prepared to get "bent over the table" ala 430 silly ceramics prices. I could be wrong; but I'll bet that I am not........
no doubt they will screw you with options but i have to say i love this car with the challenge wheels. the 612 - not my taste but the 599 is drop dead gorgeous IMHO. if the dealers drop their pants to do a deal, i think im in.
You will get a deal on a 612; but not a 599 for a while yet IMO. Too new and it will sell itself for the next 12mths or so. As Goober mentioned, you will tear up $250k in 24mths or so on a 599 (if that is a consideration). It will make the 575 even better value in the next 12mths.
i wouldnt buy a car that was likely to do 250k in 24 months money is harder to make than that cant say i am a fan of the 550 / 575. could never get into its looks. personally - at that money, i need F*** factor. TR, 360, 430, 599 do this for me.
Horses for courses. A 550/575 appeals to me. Magnificent cruisers. I still haven't embraced the looks of a 360/430. I was passenger in a 360 & 430 on the track and the performance was fun though! That image of the 599 suggests to me that access/egress won't be easy - especially for the more mature enthusiast. Looking forward to seeing one in the flesh. (Edit: the car, not the mature enthusiast!)
