3 months in the 599 and 1000 miles later i finally drove the hardest ever yesterday. I always drive it like i stole it, but this time we went to the most demanding mountain roads we can find and really set out to trash our cars for couple hundred miles. The conclusion is, it is a very nice and fast car, im in race mode all the time and the ride is never harsh even on bad pavement. Car is not much slower than madman with scuds or 430s, but the body roll is a little much. However, im amazed at its ability to steer and track nicely with no tail hanging out on hair pins. Grip is always there, just a little too much body roll. Steering feel went from light to tight and accurate in race mode when going to the limit. And i never feel i will lose control of the back end coming out of turns, it just sticks. no matter what stupid speeds i was doing. Amazing. I used to hate the light steering, but once ur going full tilt, the steering becomes very accurate and weighty which is perfect. I was all set into closing a deal on trading it in for a Cali or a LP-550 when after really kicking its a$$, i found the 599 to be a good driver's car too. Not as good as a 430, but it handled itself pretty well. For those who are looking into a 599, definitely get the HGTE. That will be the only regret of mine with the car, i can always add it now, but i just feel i need something different now.
