599 Service bulletin

I discovered a service recall for different transmission fluid for the 599. There have some engine/rubbing noise threads re 599's posted and I guess the transmission fluid is the fix. The local dealer did the job and returned a clean car to me. I had never noticed anything but the recall was out and the dealer got to make a little something from FNA.
It's the little things that count when you need something from your dealer some day.

 

I think the recall was only for a certain VIN range. I'd call the dealer or FNA with your VIN and check it out. I wasn't contacted but I found out about it when the car went in for a scheduled oil change. I don't think it's one of those critical items, but rather they decided that a different spec of Tranny fluid was better for the car long term. It's free deal so it's worth checking it out.
