My current 599 has the steering wheel without the led lights, so I've purchased a steering wheel with the led lights and am now about to change them over. Any advice or tips would be really appreciated. Thank you

Best speak to your local dealer, I would be surprised if it's just a case of fitting it, and pluging it in, but you might get lucky!

If I may ask, where did you purchase the steering wheel from?

Blimey. A simple job on a Ferrari.
You know why it was so easy?
It was because, I said I thought it would be hard!!!

Grant- Too expensive to build two wiring harnesses, one with and one without the LED wheel connectors.

The steering wheel came from a 599 that had been damaged in the floods in the UK, so I guess with water in the engine, the wiring loom wet and with many water damaged parts it would have been too expensive to rebuild? But the water appears only to have come up to the foot well, so all other parts intact. The way the company charges is that everything is half of list price. So I bought the steering wheel and carbon paddles for £1500 approx $2250, which I thought was a bit of a bargain :) The fitting was easy. I didn't want to disconnect the battery as I'm aware this can cause issues (even though I know I should of) but instead removed the airbag fuse, number F50 under drivers side fuse box. You need a 24mm socket and number 27 star bit with the hollow centre piece to remove the airbag form the steering wheel. I will post pictures later. This can be done by anyone, you do not need to take car to a Ferrari dealer to have this done. I'm happy to advise / help anyone who wishes to put the led light steering wheel on. The pictures I post later will be evident of that.

I know Hawkeye, thank you, somethings have got to be simple to do by yourself surely? :) As Tazandjan says, I was convinced the wiring loom had to be already pre-wired for the lights to work, just needed the said wheel, not easy to find though.
