Would look better with non-painted wheels IMHO, but all "variations" of grigio look good on the 599. Grigio Ingrid for example if extremely rare on this model, but is a completely stunner at least judging from photos.

    You mad ?

M's Grigio Wheels are just perfect with GFM paint...

The new owner better take great care of her since I plan to buy her in 2016.

    Thanks.

This sketch is scaled to the mule in the spy pics.

About "reading" the lines beneath the cam, basically you just look for any details poking through plus the general shape of the DLO - daylight openings (windows). Also the sketch that's linked to in the opening post - although not fully representative as they took a shortcut by PS'ing an FF - looks like it was done by someone who has info of the car; also because some of the details have been corroborated by FChatter(s) who have seen the car.

One thing that hasn't been mentioned though is that I believe that unlike 550/575/599 this one will have a third door (dare I say hatchback) instead of a trunk lid.

I find your sketches absolutely awesome.

The remind me a kind of "Facial composite" I really love it.

And on a strictly design approach, the your car is beautiful. If I had enough Money I swear I'll ask pininfarina to do a bespoke model for me.

    Ingegnere,

    You're good man.

After seeing that thread I ask yself I f don"t have some special power.

    http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=309715

    That's incredible.

And the more I see your last sketch, the more I love it.

I'm afraid the real car will be different.

    Ha-ha - thanks.

No special power, just obsessive attention to detail - it's a sickness. ;)

I don't have the patience to wait for the official pics so I start imagining what a new car will look like - then I just sketch it.

I hope the real car (done by pros) will be even nicer! Shouldn't be too far my sketch as it's based on the prototype.

Take a look at the good o'l viper. It has a hatchback.

Do I see some simularities there to your sketch?

I owned a 2008 600 hp viper just like the one in the pic, however mine was blue with silver stripes. It was the most rude car I have ever owned--------------but loved every minute of it.

A hatchback would be handy. The C5 and C6 Corvettes had them and you could get a lot of stuff in there, except it was tough getting it over the high tails and missing the paint.

Ingegnere- I like your sketch, but wonder if the new 599 will have the same side rear window and bodywork layout of the 599. I would think they would go for something different.

Will find out soon enough. Ferrari.com usually gives us an advance look.

I wondered about that myself. I almost convinced myself that the quarter window is recessed from the drip moldings (which are visible on some of the spy shots), but the rear glass on this car is quite flat, whereas on the 599 the curvature was quite pronounced - allowing the air to flow between it and the buttresses - so don't know where that scooped air would flow to.

    Looking forward to it.

When I was trying to work out how the fender vents could be shaped, it occured to me that it resembled the Viper somewhat. There are only so many ways a rear facing vent can be styled - look at M-B SLS and SL, Panamera, etc.

I think the rear fender and quarter window should distunguish it from the Viper. That and not having any side-pipes. ;)

Ingegnere, do you think the rear lights are still situated on the top of the rear like the Enzo, 430, 458, Cali, 599 or they back on the "middle" of the rear like the 360/355 etc..?

Good question. They're set pretty high. Don't think they want it to look like the Cali, though, so maybe like the FF, with the side of the light exposed.

Also, to visually shorten the rear overhang, the ends of the rear will probably be tapered - like the FF.

    Shocking sketch ...
You have also guessed the rear bumper ribbings that join vertically the rear diffuser and gearbox careening.
It is not still possible to post any pictures till the 22 of february ....

Dear M, it would be a great pleasure. However I need to ad one zero to my car budget. I have given myself 4 years of hard work to generate that zero. 4 years shoudn't be a problem. Such cars are generally bought by enthousiasts with a great sense of care.
