How safe is it, that the new F152 is named F620?

On my dealer invitation is written 710 hp. Thats 10 more on the paper as the Aventador.

Roland- Every time the public thinks they know the name of a new model, Ferrari throws us a curve. Maybe this time it will be different. There has not been a modern V12 with the F prefix, except for the supercar F50. Last V8 with the prefix was the F430.

Abslolutely. And I really dislike when people confuse the ferraris that have an F and those who don't.

Exemple, people saying F458 Italia or F360 modena.

In the modern V12 line with the F prefix, there was the F512 M, too.

If someone with adecuate drawing skills makes a sketch of the car after seeing it, would Ferrari (and maybe his lawyers) get upset about it?

Being a traditionalist I would like it to be called the 525GTB/4 but somehow doubt it will.

And why should I miss out on the "official" presentation! Anyway, there are always detailed changes that are interesting to note (cf: the FF)!

AB- Correct, I was only thinking back to the 456, so missed the F512M. That name was also chosen to separate the car from the real 512M, possibly.

    Mathew- Great idea 522 GTB/4 (521.8x12).

Peter- We all wish we could be there with you. You are correct about the changes. The preproduction cars can have quite a few differences.

Of course, you're right. Sometimes use my pc-keyboard without switch on my brain. I agree also with dcmetro. I dislike this as well.

Reasoning: At the moment we don't know the final designation. Right?

What about the FF? ;) J/K

I really dislike the F prefix, almost as much as I dislike like people using it unnecessarily (ie. F360, F550, F599, etc.)
I'm really looking forward to seeing the front of the car, the hood vents in particular.

Looks fantastic, I can see elements of the 550/575 in the glasshouse and a very slight nod to the Daytona about the rear.

Hope the real thing looks as good.

Looks cool. I am perceiving based off of ChalStrad statements that the air wil flow through an opening in the bodywork from off of the hood to the side of the car.

Thanks to everyone for the comments - very nice to be able to share and discuss this new car on this board. I think it only increases the anticipation of what's to come.

Personally, I'm still expecting to be surprised by the masters at Pininfarina - as I almost always am.

Interesting comments about the Daytona similarity (quarter window - though not the rear fender hump) and the Vant-quish ( ;) - those AM's confuse me) as I had the same thoughts as the design was evolving.

Was thinking they might do like the Sintesi, but can't imagine they would break up the fender peak for this.

Ha-ha thanks. In the words (more or less) of Mark Knopfler, I've got a daytime job - I'm doin' alright. Which also explains why I'm scrambling to finish a sketch at midnight. ;)

But Ferrari is always Ferrari, so who knows. I came pretty close some years ago on the F1 side.
