Hi all - after a long, wet summer in Hong Kong, I’ve found the TFT screen on the dash has fogged up. I expect it’s moisture that has penetrated somewhere (cost of being in Hong Kong).

Any suggestions as to a fix (other than replacing it)?

Hopefully if the humidity subsides it will gradually dissipate.

Hair dryer? Has worked on phones that got wet.

I had a similar problem on my 612, but it didn't go away. Looked like screen burn, brownish against white background. Took it to Mic @ Sanho Motors in Hung Hom and they fixed it without replacing the screen (they also did all my sticky buttons a while ago if you need that done). I think they replaced the TFT polarizing film that had degraded, but not sure as my Cantonese is not that technical !

If you use a hair dryer, use cool air only, no heat. Best bet is to let it dissipate naturally.

I vote to fill your car with rice. It should only take about 100 cubic feet to fully fill the interior. On the downside, it would weigh about 4800 pounds. :D

Price for a new screen is about 100-200 Euro.

    Really???
