Does anyone know how often these modules inside the wheel need to be replaced? I'm assuming that the sensors are internally battery powered. Mine were last replace back in October of 2013, by the original owner. I'm having new tires installed and was thinking that this might be a good time to replace the sensors as well if in fact they typically have about a 5 year life cycle. My car is a 2008, so the first set lasted about 5 years? - is this typical? My sensors are working fine right now - please advise.

Mine from 2008 are still alive.
But you are already “in there” so may be worth doing now.

The Gen 1.5 sensors generally last 5-8 years, occasionally longer.

A good shop with a Ferrari specific diagnostic tester will be able to read out the remaining life of the batteries in the TPMS sensors. If they were replaced in 2013, they should still have a few years of life left in them, as the replacements have a longer lifespan than the original sensors.

Thanks everyone for the good advice - not looking to waste money replacing items that don't need replacing - was just thinking that while the wheels and tires are off the car and if the sensors are nearing end of life...it might make good sense to replace them at this time and kill 2 birds with one stone so to speak.
