With a little weight reduction that guy could squeeze a few more kph out of it, and I think everyone knows i'm not talking about reduction on the car.
How many of the replies to this thread are by people who own and drive 599's. Whatever his physical condition, he's the one in the car and everyone else is reduced to snide remarks while he vanishes into the distance at 310KM/H
Very good point, and we all respect that and are very jealous... but it's also tough not to poke fun at his belly no matter what car he is in.
Over the Easter Weekend I will have the chance to test my 599's top speed on a fantastic highway to Hainan Island. I was planning to make a video of my assault on 330 (which my CGT has done effortlessly) but I am worried that there will be more attention towards something stupid than what the car is actually doing... I will also have the chance to take on an Enzo
The guys' weight has no role to play on top speed since the cars' mass is in the background compared to drag force. Second, speedos do indeed tend to lie a bit, but it does NEVER show a speed lower than the actual one, that is forbidden. Lastly, sure the guy drives a 599, but disregarding the fact that he might still be a loser or that he might have borrowed the car, he is lardy. And that will always be what people will think in or outside of his car. It's like saying of a red car, look, it's red. It's pointless, but true nonetheless.
i think everyone was just kidding about his 'heft' slowing down the car and yes, it would not be good if a speedo was underrepresenting the actual speed. i was just making a pt that many people put too much faith in how fast a car is going based on the dial--then saying, 'oh wow, this or that did so and so'... one example...Evo(i think it was evo) ran a Carrera Gt flat out...speedo showed a speed upwards of 10 mph higher than actual...that's a big diff.
