    Been a while since my last post. For those who care: the 599 has been a wonderful experience! Yea, it eats tires..but what a ride! Can you believe she now has 27k on the odo!! I decided some time ago that this Ferrari would NOT sit in the garage and be a dust magnet! Other than basic services, it hasn't needed anything other than front pads! NO OTHER PROBLEMS! My partner and I have owned eleven different Ferrari's between us and this is by far the most reliable of any of those! This past fall, we drove it to the east coast, New York City, Boston, Maine, etc. A wonderful trip...and we never thought we should of driven something else..L.Rover...Benz. etc. And the service we received!! Many of us already know that Ferrari's get special attention, but when we arrived in Chicago in the middle of a wet snow storm, I was so surprised three days later to have it totally detailed and looking new when it was brought to the front door of our hotel! How thoughtful! The Chicago staff is the best! Thank you for making our visit so wonderful! As we made our way east, every stop had a moment to remember. It was a trip of a lifetime. Attention! No pictures are posted. We all know what a 599 looks like....and again it doesn't really mean anything. Roger and I are protective of our privacy and frankly don't care if some of you think this post is B.S.!!! We are living the dream! Don't like this post? MOVE ON to something else...For God's sake!!!

    I find it encouraging that this $350K car can go 27K miles with no major issues.

    The pictures are usually to help people "share the experience". (not to be invasive) Either way enjoy the car and safe driving.

    After my experience of 5 TFT's with 2 599's happy to hear that your car is going so well. I don't mind posting pictures as I enjoy looking at pictures that others post. Respect your view and happy to read your post

    Great to hear your story. IMO, the 599 is the best looking Fcar since the 355.

    I'm pondering over if this is BS or not. It seemed very truthful until the following part (quoted) which you seemed to... let's just say over-react ;) Not to mention the name... if you're so discreet and you clearly don't want anyone to know about your car collection, why have a name such as Lester the Collector? And then the thought... who makes up a Ferrari story and characterizes themselves as homosexual? I'd understand if you'd have a smokin' hot blonde next to you with that mini-skirt, but with a so-called "Roger"? I guess it's all personal preference.

    If it isn't BS, I hope you're enjoying your 599 to the fullest and I admire you for actually using the car!

    Good to hear you had a nice trip. I think saying that the 599 can do 27k miles without a major problem is a fair assumption since it is a GT car. I'm sure it must have been nice to spend so much time in the car.

    PS. How many inches of snow was in Chicago? How did the 599 do there?

    The snow in Chicago melted almost as it fell. Traction control was on even tho it wasn't really needed. Thanks for the kind words. No hissy fit here... just get tired of the matcho B.S. and that "Oh my Gawd!!!" crap. I was hoping this site was a bit more open minded. To those of you who have overlooked my "Partner" gab, thanks again. Car's are a hudge part of our life and when you have a wonderful life with ANYONE, you tend to want to talk about it. Right? I do, however, respect the fact that we are all different and don't always see eye to eye. The future focus will be about Ferrari's. I mean, that's why we are on this site!

    I hope you didn't interpret that I was homophobic, because I certainly am not. I have no problem with homosexuals. I was just pointing out how odd it was if someone was faking it to also add in a relationship.

    Actually, a FEW of the 599s have burst into flames and burned to the ground leaving the dealership, so savor the small victories as well!
