I'm not too surprised. Lambos have been outperforming Ferrari's for quite a while, albeit by small amounts. I certainly love a few Lambo's but Ferrari's overall are better cars in my opinion. Seriously though, these cars are starting to perform far better than most driver's have talent so it's pretty much a pissing contest at this point.

Well, since I have owned a LP560 before switching over to the 599, I want to comment that if all conditions were the same, the 599 would barely, and I mean barely, squeeze out the Lambo. The engine on the LP560 is something very special. Do not misjudge the car just by looking at the horsepower because I can tell you from first hand experience, it is very very fast! Plus, it gets good mileage too, the last time I took a trip to Austin, I saw 21 miles to the gallon!

I'd be more interested in nurburgring lap times...

Very good point. For the record I thinkthe 599 is by an small edge / hair / whatever faster.

The jump in performance from original Gallardo to the LP is pretty shocking. And I cannot deny that they got much more sexy with the Reventon-cues.

I'm particularly interested to see what the engine will be like in the Murci replacement, considering that it'll be a brand new powerplant!
