Some customers don’t always come in with an owners manual in the car. So snapped a pic with the capacities for future reference. Image Unavailable, Please Login
While this is correct, you can not drain 100% of that amount. Refilling with these amounts will result in a significant over fill and overfilling the oil in a 599 is: Very easy to do Results in damage to the MAFs We have addressed checking the oil many times in other threads but, the key point is it is fiddly
Another key point. A dry sump is far better off being under filled than over filled. With 3 or so gallons of oil a quart low isn't hurting anything. In the old days some manufacturers used oil level in dry sumps to control oil temperature.
Re: Fluids, I have been in the habit of checking the level before its drained and measuring the amount of fluid after I have drained it; coolant would be an example. It is my way of knowing what is left in the engine and a gauge of what needs to go back in. On some cars you can get very close to a complete drain of a particular fluid and others not, but doing this helps me understand whats left in the engine and if I need to search for a better way to get a more complete drain and if not maybe change that particular fluid more often. An example of this would be the DCT gear box in my 458. I can only get out 6 quarts (3 changes and always the same) it holds 8 quarts so I change it more often because of the two quarts I can’t get out; unless I tip the unit upside down and that of course isn’t possible.
