This weekend a friend let me have a copy of the price list for his new 599GTB.
The scan is pretty poor and its in german, but I thought I'd post a copy here just out of interest. If you need a translation just post it here, there are enough german speakers on this site to help out. The prices are in Swiss francs, so you can look up your own exchange rate for euros or whatever.

    Cheers

Wooooow! That looks like real value for money! I will run to the dealer this afternoon. Probably my 512 TR will have just enough value to cover for the options. :)

    Ton,
Do not be so sure. Just look at the ceramic brakes... That is just insane!

I thought the car itself would have been more expensive...

But it will be when it is ordered in Belgium or The Netherlands fe... the taxes on new cars like this are insane...

The prices on the option list don't surprise me... they look familiar with those of the 430 and 612 off course... some items are definately overpriced...

I just noticed that at the bottom of the original document is the fuel consumption and the emission code (G). Around town, expect to get 35l/100km :D :D :D :D

And I thought my Range Rover was bad at about 20l/100km :D :D :D :D

550/575 hardly get under 30-40 ltrs in town.
In fact, it's closer to 50. But then again, it depends more on the town than the car.

Ha ha, that is the same with the TR. Fuel economy has not improved over the years I guess. :)

Are you sure you haven't got a hole in your tank?? :D My 550 gets 12-14 l/100Km cruising on a highway at more-or-less legal speeds, 18-20 l/100Km charging up a mountain pass and the only time I was stuck for 2 hours in traffic (between Geneva and Lausanne, where else??? :( ) the fuel needle barely moved. It's how gentle you are with the throttle that makes all the difference... I reserve the "heavy foot" treatment only for really enjoyable drives.

Oh yeah, that's a hell of a deal.

In GVA they told me even the demo cars are sold out...

    But we'll see that

So you pay 700 Francs to have the passenger airbag disabled...paying for something that doesn't work...I must have missed something in economic class!

I'm not too sure about the demo cars... I know from insider sources at Ferrari that these are "pre-production prototypes" which are bound to have several small defects and possibly some non-standard parts.

Also, these are the same cars that were displayed at Geneva and the same cars which, starting from April 19, are going to be abused by the world's whole motoring press! And having done my bit of journalism, I tell you, I wouldn't buy a car any of these wannabe schumachers has mistreated...

They'd have to offer me a HEAVY discount before I went for one of these early 599GTBs.

maranello, well you raise some valid points, but if a dealer friend offered me that deal with all the usual guarantees in place, and obviously the possibility of flipping it 6-12 months later to some poor shnook who is 3 years down the waiting list....well i think i would take the deal.....

in any case i am encouraging my friend to take the deal since i want to be the guy who gets it 6-12 mths later (at an even further discount since i know the scoop !).
