    I just read through the FCA email about the 599's going to the Alcoa plant outside of Austin on Monday, October 30. It mentioned something about the cars departing a Dallas hotel that morning at 7:30. Using my sometimes flawed logic, it occurred to me that if the cars are LEAVING Dallas, they'll also have to ARRIVE in Dallas. If they're leaving a hotel, chances are good they'll be staying at that hotel. I'm thinking about driving to the hotel Sunday evening and hoping for a glimpse of the cars. Maybe if some Ferrari's pull in, they'll be allowed a little closer look. Anybody want to join me? Hotel is in the 635/Tollway area.

    They will hit the Panther City before Big D, I'd like to find out if they are going to be on I-30 or parts of Loop 820 in my area. Someone track that GPS!

    There was a 599 from FoSV on display in the Risi pit area this past weekend at ALMS race at Laguna Seca. Lots of folks taking photos of the car - nice car but definitely shadowed by the #62 and #61 430's sitting behind it (at least for me it was!)

    Sorry about the tread jack. If I can get my head lights to stay up (I know, sounds like a personal problem) Ha. I would join you. Driving with the fog lights only at night wasn't too fun the other night. Need to re-read the "dancing lights" thread. They come on and up from point A to B. Then from point B to point C, they come on and up... then go back down... but the light is still on. Might take a drive in the FJ40 if the weather holds. Keep you cell on. Tom

    I have been in contact with Alcoa, and they kicked me to a guy in Italy who won't answer his email. As far as I can tell, there's simply no planned activities here -- or if there is, they don't want club members there. Strange, but so be it.

    It's entirely possible that Sunday is a rest day. They probably deserve one. This event has been going on for quite some time, I would imagine that their drivers and support staff are pretty beat. I mean, they did drive here from BRAZIL. :)

    I still want to crash the hotel to look at the cars!

    Yes! I say CRASH THE HOTEL!

    I agree that are certainly tired from the grueling trip, but I am also certain they are getting paid for it.

    You buy the ticket, you take the ride!

    Eat your hearts out suckers, I have an official T Shirt from the Alcoa stop on it's way to my house! I have a friend that works there.

    I'd like to hit the hotel before the sun goes down, but try to be late enough to catch them if they're driving in on Sunday.

    Maybe 6:30?

    Hilton is at SE corner of 635 and Tollway, used to a Doubletree for years.

    I was close to hotel about 3pm today and drove through the parking garage, no sign of them.

    This may be a complete waste of time.

    I also forgot that DST started today, so it will be dark at 6:00......

    Yea... it's gonna be totally dark by 6:30. And I'm kinda' caught up with some family stuff that's running later than anticipated.
