Is there any way we could have info on those? I'm trying to collect all kind of information on 599XXs, it would be nice if someone could upload an updated registry of all 599XX they managed to put in.
Interesting the engine is a Type F140CF, the GTO is Type F140CE, so that engine was developed first. The Enzo was the F140B and the 599 was the F140C.
The era of "real good collectible Ferrari's" is past IMO. But you should never say never. Always something going on at SP.
HGTE first, ''GTO'' later. Ferrari have denied a GTO so far, but they've also denied a ''430 Challenge Stradale'' and a ''458 Scuderia''. Technically they where right, but we still have these cars, just with a different name. The name is unimportant, I'm very confident there will be a F12 ''GTO'' by the end of the F12 cycle. 600 or so F12GTO's at 60K+ over the standard F12 price is an awful lot of of money.
I'd like to see a full-on "GTO", although I don't think it's happening. An F12 with a stiffer and more agressive setup is coming no matter what. That makes me happy.
But I wish some sort of race car version would be produced, it's just would look like such a awesome XX car.
Name is extremely important especially when it comes to the letters 'GTO' for Ferrari! So with that said, there will be a stripped out special edition of the F12 but it will not be called GTO.
If GT1 racing still existed/was lucrative, I'm pretty sure that an F12 GT1 would have been made (either by Ferrari or someone like prodrive/Michelotto). Sadly GT1 is no more, and GT3 is quite booming currently with many series running the cars, so lots of wealthy customers wanting to race. Sadly an F12b GT3 is just not feasible. True. What I mean with ''name is not important'' is that there will be a stripped out F12, just without the GTO name. I don't care if they call it the F12 Explosive Diarrhea...I'm sure it'll be epic and I want one!
I agree with you. I remember that after the 599 HGTE model, Ferrari made the 599 GTO. And i believe that before the end of the F12 production, Ferrari will make the XX version of it.
Ferrari made the 250 GTO from 62-64, the 288 GTO from 84-85 and the 599 GTO in 2011. Based on temporal intervals, Ferrari will not produce another GTO moniker based vehicle for another 20 years (an approximation). History is not on the side of those advocating that Maranello will buckle under financial pressure and just have a GTO branding of every 12 cylinder model they manufacture. IMHO Ferrari can obtain a sportier F12 version with a tweaked suspension upgrade as was done with the 599GTB (as others have stated by doing an HGTE option). The GTO nameplate seems to be reserved solely for a road car designed for Ferrari's "most dedicated track enthusiasts" (whatever that means). How is the GTO different than a CS, Scud, Speciale ? I'll leave that issue for bigger intellects to ponder BUT it seems to me that Ferrari intended the GTO to represent the pinnacle of their on-road capabilities. Anybody that has driven a 599 GTO would have to agree with that.
Hmmm I'm thinking Ferrari might bring back another classic name like LM maybe. However now I come to think of it, it's highly possible for them to bring back mid engined v12s like the 512.

Doubt 599XX EVO's are worth more than €8-900k today. If you want to sell within reasonable time you might have to go lower. The market will flood once Ferrari stops supporting CC events for the cars. Oh really. Please show me an example of a 599XX which has appreciated? These cars are hard to sell, even at lower prices (towards €700k). A car went at Villa d'Este last year for €918k inc. auction fees, but that was a year ago, and the car certainly hasn't gotten any "hotter". The cars are not so fast anymore. On certain circuits in the US a 458 EVO will stay on their tail. Their novelty factor has worn off. Sorry, but I'm being realistic. These are not race cars, no history, no pedigree. They are expensive track toys which will be bastarded once Ferrari quits the CC events for them. Don't see any hopes of future appreciation. It certainly doesn't help the market that many of those advertising command banal prices.
