If the 5th gear programme was based on the general public's opinion of what's their top 10 favourite Ferrari's, (and one has to assume they were not hardened fans like ourselves), Then what's our opinion ????

Anyone care to start the Bidding ???

There was only a 10 cars you could vote for on the web site. The 355 wasn't on there. I had to vote for the F40 - but the TR was well in front from day one.

Can we invite VBH to the next meeting ???

Yeah I noticed that as well. When I went to vote the 355 wasnt on the list. Bit of a shame really as thats the one that would have got my vote. I ended up voting Testarossa.

    Good programme though.

OK...I understand you're all a bit shy, So I'll give my starter for 10, (or my 10 for starters) !

    10 F40
    9 360 Challenge Stradale
    8 250 GT SWB
    7 250 GT California Spyder
    6 250 GTO
    5 355 GTS
    4 512 BB
    3 328 GTS
    2 275 GTB/4
    1 288 GTO

All down to personal opinion I know, but we at least do know what they are like to drive and own, The classic curves and the sounds of the engines anyone can appreciate, but the driving experience is resreved for the privileged few - Unfortunately.

Every summer I have the enviable privilege to be invited to a local childrens hospice were I and a few other exotic owners take the kids around Donnington Park for a few laps, The kids love it, in some cases it makes their dreams come true, it's a very humbling and fantastic day out ! - We're always looking for more volunteer's ?

    Cheers,

    Steve

OK then, here's my tuppence worth

    10 250 California
    9 Daytona
    8 F40
    7 250 Lusso
    6 308 GTB (Yippee)
    5 250 gto
    4 512 BBi
    3 250 LM
2 288 gto (Go on Steve, let's have a ride!)
    1 246 gt

Sorry to offend all you 355 and 360 owners (particularly Warren as he brought me 2 cokes and had a whipround for the carpark); doubtless I'm sure they are fab to drive (watching Tiff in a 360 was something else) I doubt I shall ever get the chance, so it has to be based on how they look!!!

    Ferrari flavoured Chapoids,

Just set up an online Ferrari poll to see if OUR results would be significantly different to those of Channel 5's "5th Gear". Visit:

    http://www.druidmedia.co.uk/answ2002/ferraripoll.htm

And select your favourite 5 and I'll add it all up in Jan and see what we see.

Merry Christmas, and who's up for a quck drive out to Boxhill for a cup of tea and a bacon sarnie sometime between Chritmas and new year?

    Seeya

    Steve,

Oh yes, certainly. But you have to fully qualified to use these sorts of terms. "wanky" comes somewhere inbetween "pants" and "arseholed".

I would be happy to exchange lessons in professional IT jargon use, for the opportunity to touch your GTO one day.

    Mmmmmmmmm, Sweeeeet!

If you go to the poll page, I have put some early results on the bottom of the page.

I'll volunteer. Do the Sporting Bears 'Dream Rides' thing, but it's a bit hit-and-miss whether you get to hear about them in time. As you say Steve, it's a privilege to be able to do something like this.
