I realy like it, I know some wont..but oh well it's my car LOL The picutres do not do it justice. Once it is out, cleaned and in the daylight OMG reminds me of the old Miura SV cars...Brown with the gold..just a jump back in time.. Is that the body color gold that the 6.0SE's were also available in? When you mentioned doing this in another thread, I thought you might have been going for the same gold you had the Balboni wheels done in...
Yes, same color code as the Gold SE.. The Balboni gold wheels were a far more yellow/brown gold...would not have looked good on the Brown IMO
Roy, you really got some time on your hands You need a few more projects like doing another full respray or something....lol. Oh opening up the club should be the way to go. That will keep you busy and tired I might be heading up there again in a week or so, if I have time, I will look you up to see those beautiful cars!
I think it looks great! Assuming powder coated? Or another method? Now you should get the wheels on the gold SE painted brown.
Brown and gold are coming back in style IMO. I have been seeing a lot of them on the road, brown or gold cars not Lambo's.
LOL yea I can never sit still..plus it is so much fun to constantly change them...send them away from home and when they come backed changed it is like a whole new car each time..Chriswtmas every day of the week!! I am starting a NEW project on a LM002 America..just completed 35K in service. Now doing a full re-spray. It is (was) Black on Black..interior is MINT..but there are to many Black LM cars out there.. I am down to a few choices. 1) Bianco Isis (bright white) 2) The Batman LP color, battleship grey 3) Grigio Avalon ( a dark grey metalic)
Powder coated and then cleared.. Yea, I want something else on the Gold SE #12... Didnt like the stock Satin Silver, didnt like the dark Grey 40th anniversary Grey I had on it, dont care for the Gloss shinny black on it now.. Just cant figure a good color..might just try the gold wheels on it...but think that will be to much gold..? Suggestions welcomed..
Have you seen the recently released special Edition Buggati Veryon..? It is painted in this color as well as the interior is the TWO tone brown EXACTLY like this car..looks so good IMO
Roy, looks great! it reminds me to of miura SV, but also of last LP400S series uno in its original luci del bosco with gold bravos
they are somewhere on countach thread, posted by Joe is now painted burgundy and owned by Mike Pullen in UK
I think the gold on gold might be too much. However, since you have a set already, mount 'em up and post some pics. We could all be surprised. Finding the perfect color offset to gold seems difficult. Perhaps a shade of off-white, or somewhere inbetween the satin silver and dark grey?
I am happy with the outcome of the Balloon WHite 6.0 with the Grey Metallic wheels.. I am not thrilled with the Shinny Black on the GoldSE #12..have to find something that works for it>>>??????? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Whoa that's crazy...it looks great Roy! What about painting a 6.0 in verde? I think I saw a picture of one somewhere but it could of been a photoshop, it would look pretty sweet! Here it is http://www.flickr.com/photos/stephenhayes/2941920899/sizes/o/ and another http://i159.photobucket.com/albums/t126/Murcielago6/VB.jpg
and another http://i159.photobucket.com/albums/t126/Murcielago6/VB.jpg[/QUOTE] Hello, FYI, the green Diablo pictured with Valentino (file .../Murcielago6/VB.jpg...) is a replica from the UK based Company Parallel Design : see : http://www.paralleldesigns.co.uk/
Roy, for the Gold SE why not try adding a Gold pin-stripe around the edge of the gloss black rim? It will pull the wheel out of the tire visually, you'd be surprised how much of a difference it will make...
