    My latest... since I was a kid reading Car & Driver, I have wanted a 6.9. When the opportunity to get one that has been local to me since delivery and has only had two owners, been very well maintained (by my vintage Mercedes guy, who has worked on it for his entire career), I just couldn't pass it up.

    My vintage Mercedes guy told me one of his first jobs as a kid at the dealership was installing the euro bumpers on this car... it was ordered by a local lumber magnate/hotel owner, who bought three of them (one for him, and one for each of his sons). This is the last one of the three.

    Just put 250 miles on it this weekend. What a machine! It feels like a freight train-- unending power and momentum as you accelerate through 100-110 or so.

    What a great machine. Mercedes at the absolute top of their game! As a matter of interest, how many petrol stations did you visit in the 250 miles????,
    ((((((-;

    keep it up!

    One! Well, two if you count the one at the start of the trip. It has a 28 gallon tank, so even at 13mpg it has decent range.
