$231,000, it says, not sure if that includes premium and tax. 22,600 miles on this 2003 car, just for the records. Seems a solid price.
Sold for $231K (+ $5K BaT buyer fee). Nice deal. If it had some desirable options (especially HGTC) and/or lower miles, probably would've gone for considerably more.
Didn't have a single option. Not even a $350 dedication plate, which I thought makes it pretty unique. Dash shrinking. Passenger airbag cover slight shrinkage. Light scuffing on diver seat. Some stickies. Timing belts done in 2016. Annual 2018. MSRP on window sticker is $225k.
I think that is the first one I have seen with absolutely no options on her. 132165 AN 49371. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Let’s see, if you buy a 550 for $125k, how much would you have to spend in upgrades to get to the level of this car? Maybe $5k? Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Interesting that the sales price is just about equal to the window sticker. The bounce has made it back to new!
Haha, yeah...but this is the collector crowd we’re talking about, so rarity is the only metric. Not always though. Rather confusing if you dwell on it
It's interesting that in the days the Maranello's were first sold, there were not very many options offered by Ferrari and what was available was not very expensive. Complete opposite of todays Ferraris. Still gated buyers tended to pass on options much more than F1 buyers. They also tended to drive the cars a lot more so they have higher mileage today. These gated buyers had their priorities in order I think.
Texas- You cannot upgrade a 550 to a 575M realistically. Too many differences. Trying to do so would cost a fortune.
Yes, you'd need a new engine for a start. It's funny how sometimes the worst spec on cars ends up being the desirable classic spec down the road. I wonder if this car was purchased by a dealer looking to flip, or an actual person wanting to own a gated 575. Does anyone know?
Darius- Plus a new transaxle, new front suspension, new shocks, new ABS system, new ECUs for most systems, etc, etc.
It was bought by a individual (me), I plan on driving and enjoying.... (I prefer manual transmissions, and unfortunately (or luckily) the Ferrari I liked is a bit rare - maybe it will hold its value while I drive it).
Congratulations! I bought the last 575M (gated) on BaT. These are fantastic cars. Enjoy it! Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat
Congratulations, Tim, and welcome to the Maranello club and to the much smaller gated 575 club. I love my gated 575 and I am sure you will love yours.
