Hello, I am located in Miami Florida and am about to have my 6000 mile service done. Any recomendations I plan on taking the car to sebring for a track day iin Dec. should I mention to service rep? Thanks Eddy
I think that the 6000 mile service is normally just an oil change. Just let them know that you will be taking it on the track and ask them to do a safety check. They will know what to do - they should check the brakes, suspension, and steering, wheels, tires, among other things. Also, your car will get a technical inspection when you get to the track - but that is relatively cursory - I think that they will just check for oil leaks and tighten lug nuts at the track. If you haven't already, you might want to have clear plastic film (3M, autobond, etc) applied to protect your car from pebbles thrown up at the track. Best, - Jon
