It was a great event. Considering the number of cars they had to deal with, I thought that the organizers did a fantastic job of getting everyone registered and parked. from what I saw, it was a stress-free and smooth process for me and fellow attendees at the Grove. I had an opportunity to sit out on the terrace of a small French bakery (thanks for the recommendation Tim) and got to watch a seemingly non-stop parade of F-cars driving up and down the streets of Beverly Hills. Who wouldn't love that experience? My only negative observation was regarding the hospitality area. It was located on the top floor of a local establishment with only one elevator providing access. The line to enter was incredibly long, so many of us just skipped it all together. On the positive side, it gave us more time to look at everything Ferrari in the streets.
There were lots of cool cars but most of them have been seen many times in Monterey. It was good to see some of my former race colleagues and I got to meet P. Ferrari, but, I left Santa Barbara at 6:30 to be part of the "event". I wish I had not driven the CS. Long lines and waits to get a "pin"? then be told to park in a garage that scraped the front, rear, and bottomed out my car in a freaking public parking lot. Oh, I almost forgot about our "hospitality Suite", free cokes and popcorn and pretzels! What a joke and a huge FAIL FCA!
Here is my car. We arrived as car #87, I think it was, and by the time we left around 2:30 pm it was at 911 cars. BTW, the somewhat different instructions gave you reserved parking among 100 cars or so on Camden. Image Unavailable, Please Login
The event is supposed to be televised on 'EXTRA' tonight according to one of the speakers. I have my DVR ready... update 5:24: Nothing on the event that I can see so far on Extra... just allot of Hollywood Gossip.. Maybe tomorrow?
Fun event, lots to look at but I wish I knew where the other 800 or so were parked so I could have seen them too. 1957 625/250 TRC Image Unavailable, Please Login
Not sure about huge fail but alarming lack of restrooms, no water outside of Italian mineral water available, and the parade was a joke. It was only like 5 cars with the big wigs. The cops kept us corralled until they figured out no more cars were coming. But don't get me wrong. It was a cool event and even better considering the price I paid. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Huh...? I would say we saw about 60 cars in the parade as they came up Camden, where we could see them from first row. This was towards the end of the parade, and most of them parked in the 2nd half of Camden, while a few continued to Rodeo Dr, as far as I understand. A few pics of some of them coming up Camden. I doubt those exact 60 cars will ever be in one place again. Plenty of great parking. Nice work to those who put it on.

The event was well thought out IMO considering they probably scrambled to also make it a send off for the Chairman, who was a no show. Packet retrieval at the Rancho Park location was a breeze. Popcorn and trail mix at the hospitality came up short. Wine was nice. All and all a memorable and great event, all things considered.
I might have missed it. The diagram in the program show the parade coming toward the speech area. They kinda corralled us off. What time was the parade down Camden? Oh well water under bridge. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Nice! Was looking for you, but we were looking for your 575 No wonder we didn't see you You were car #804 then - see below... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Not sure of exact time... I have about 45 different cars in my pictures from the parade coming up Camden, and I didn't get every single one...
there were two parades at the same time...? as the security was pushing us out of the street for Ferrari executives parade I walked back to Camden and saw the 60 car parade come in on Camden and apparently the streets were too blocked off for them to parade down Rodeo , I helped push one poor car that the clutch went out in... Overall it was amazing to see all the cars!
