Just remember that old wise saying: "If you can't afford a good Ferrari, you certainly can't afford a bad one." Better to stretch a little, as you seem to realize already, but it's worth saying to the lurkers.
Jerry- Remember the original car after which the 612 was conceived, was Ingrid Bergman's 375 MM, 0456 AM, which was painted Grigio Ingrid. Taz Terry Phillips Image Unavailable, Please Login
I agree on the Maserati GTS. I have a 2009 S and she is great for crusing and has four very comfortable seats. She is also very quick when you want her to be. I hope to add a Ferrari to my stable soon. Hoping to pick up a 575.
i saw the bergman ferrari at the 50 year celebration in rome, and it is a truly stunning and beautiful car.
Just as the Hyundai Tiburon ripped off the 456, it looks to me like Arkus-Duntov's 56-62 corvettes took the "cove" from the '54 Bergman car.
Here's another, more heretical opinion: I had a 456GT when my kids were 9 and 4. They hated being passengers because the sill line was high enough they could only see Daddy and Mommy's seat backs--- booooring! When they got older, their legs didn't fit-- let them demo the back seats first!
I'm going to have to harp on the Gran Turismo. It's beautiful looking and is very easy to drive. If you (or your wife) aren't the type who runs it to redline you'll never notice a difference in power imo.
