    When my ac compressor kicks in the f-16 fuse in the trunk blows. All other hvac appears good. The compressor is 2 years old with 4000 miles. Changed the compressor ecu, fault stays. Changing the pressure switch next at it appears to be weeping ac oil. Refrigerant level checked and good. Receiver drier appears good and condenser rad is also two years old. System failed when driving down a straight smooth damp road 6 months ago. Any technical tips or checks would be much appreciated. Thanks all.

    You may want to check for wiring shorts between the relay and the compressor or see if the compressor clutch coil itself is shorted.
    If you can't get direct access to the connector on the compressor, pull relay R-4 and try checking the resistance of between pin 5 (aka 87) and a known good earth to see what the resistance of the clutch coil is. Use a good ohmmeter.

    According to the driver's handbook, fuse F-39 and F-49 powers the HVAC ECU ("NCL"). Is there a reason why you changed the ECU?

    Many thanks for the tips I will test using pin 5 as soon as I get the car back, an Indy F specialist here in the uk interrogated the systems with SD3? and flagged the ecu as suspect due to low voltage readings. Turns out to be a red herring.

    Progress update, even though I have a receipt for recent new Ferrari compressor my local Indy F specialist suspected an issue with a the compressor. Compressor is at re builder with multiple issues found especially with the clutch and pulley. Issues with mounting bolts too. Hoping that after re build f-16 fuse will be ok. Will keep posting until conclusion.

    Indy was right. Rebuilt compressor is installed the fuse is now ok and ac works.
