    Dear all,

I bought my car recently because I loved its interior.

Now that I know the 612 better, I realize that my car has a few things that I don't see on others:

    alcantara steering wheel
    alcantara and leather seats
    no aluminium on the dashboard

I have been looking online and can't seem to find any car with a similar interior - the job and finish are 100% perfect, definitely OEM to me.

Any advice as to how this came to happen?

I would say the original owner ordered it that way. From mid 2008 all 612's were custom ordered, but I'm sure earlier year models also could have been custom ordered.

That looks like a gen 1 612 base model (becker radio) with standard seats. It also does not look like it has the front parking sensors.

TBH, I've never seen a 612 with alcantara or no metal. Now, the metal did come in different shades. Very interesting.

Here is the interior of my gen 1 (2007) 612 HGTS with optional Daytona seats & inserts, rear shelf matching leather, dark aluminum, and front sensors. The dark aluminum can be deceiving.

Ferrari will do whatever you want, if you're willing to pay for it. Have you seen the 599 with the denim interior?

    So alcantara seems relatively mild.

Have seen 612's with leather rather than metal on the dash.

Again, I guess I don't know what you are asking. If you are asking if it was done by the factory, I think the answer is probably yes.

If you are asking if "all alcantara interior" was an option box you could check, I doubt it, but I don't know.

These cars, and 612s in particular, are really each unique. They aren't like a mass produced car where you can choose from package A, B, or C. You choose all the elements, including special or one-off elements. In the case of alcantara, Ferrari was already making wide use of it (the 360 CS used it), so I doubt getting it on the seats would be a big deal.

i dont know, with my sticky buttons and plastics plus the shrinking leather, i definitely wish and need to find a aftermarket guy to correct what the factory did.

The 2006 612 Berne GP Edition was a limited edition car for Switzerland produced by the Ferrari factory. They made 9 all exactly the same spec and it used a lot of Alcantara, for example, carpets, overmats, bottom of the doors, central console, rear centre console, rear parcel shelf, rear armrest, A, B and C pillars and the boot lining. The roof was also quilted.

I own no.3 however for pictures its best to reference the threads posted by the original owner of my car as I don't have a better set of pictures showing the Alcantara parts.

    See here

    and here

Note: these pictures make the Alcantara look black but reality its more grey. Check out the picture of the quilted roof for what I think is a more accurate representation of the real colour. Also the red is nowhere near as retina challenging in real life as it looks in these pictures. I think these pictures were shot with a Canon DSLR which are notorious for hotting up the reds!

    Hy Pierre,

you could go to your dealer and give him the VIN No. of your car.
The dealer can look in Ferrari data base and give you all the details you need for your car.
If you can´t, send me the no. and I will take a look ...

    Greetings from Styria/Austria

If you register the car with Ferrari and put it in MY GARAGE with Ferrari.com it will come up with the original factory spec so you will be able to see whether the Alcantara was factory or post.

    Hi,
I hope I don’t come across as rude for asking, but how much would a 612 GP Berne with around 40k kms be worth nowadays? I’ve been asking some dealers and looking around online but I’ve yet to find or hear a number.
I rarely see other GPBs and people never know what it is. I think this edition of the 612 has the nicest interior, and also one of the best exterior paints. The HGTC package also brings the car to life!

That’s a good question! I still have mine after 6 years ownership now with 45 kms on it. Still love it, but I have often wondered.

The only real comparison I can think of is the 599 60 F1 Alonso Edition which is similar concept. Take a 599 HGTE base and give it unique exterior and interior trim / carbon fibre. They made 60.

Alonso’s sell for a lot over a standard car, here in CH there was a few for sale while back at 50-60% premium over a similar HGTE.

I dont think a 612 GP would make quite that premium even though they made only 9.

Also 612 GPs rarely come for sale. I’ve not seen one for about 5 years.

So who knows? As the old adage goes, it’s worth as much as someone will pay for it.

Now that is custom and worth looking at...denim. maybe a white or red exterior would go well?
