Can anyone tell me the chassis number of the first 612 produced. My car was built in November 2003 in Maranello so is one of the earliest and I would like to know just how early.

Try click search - keyword 'production numbers' - select titles only - click search now

Useful technique both searching titles & posts since so many questions have been answered before

Found it thanks, though there was a question mark next to the numbers.

Owain- She is very early. The 1st owners manual I have was 1994/03 from February 2004. What was the serial number and assembly number? My 575M, 135171, AN 52428, was also November 2003.

Ferrari often has preproduction cars that are used for testing for up to two years, and are then brought up to production standards and sold. You might try searching the internet to see the serial number of the Geneva show car, or wherever the 612 was introduced, and compare that to yours. If yours is way earlier, it may be one of the preproduction models that has been updated and sold to the public, usually through an Italian dealer. On the 575M, two preproduction models were built in the Spring 01 timeframe and not sold until Spring 03. Their serial numbers (123764 and 123765) preceded the Geneva show cars (125370 amd 125371) by several months.

Hi my serial number is 134586. I was told it was displayed at the german motor show so that could well be the case. I tried googling the motor show car serial numbers but did not know where really to start.

Owain- According to Matthias Urban's book, 134584 was a Euro spec, three pedal 612 in Argento Nurburgring with Nero interior. Your 134586 was a Euro spec, three pedal 612 in Nuova Nero Daytona with Beige interior. Likely 134585 was another 612, but no details on that one.

One group of four earler 612s, all Euro F1 shifters, is from 134513-134516, and then a group of 8 from 134298-134305. The earliest group I see are four from 134122-134125, at least two of which participated in a China tour.

So your 612 is an early one, but there were several produced before her and Matthias' list is incomplete, so there are probably others.
