Having owned Corvettes, I don't see any similarity at all. I do see a much improved and rather attractive version of the 612.

I think the scallop in the door gives it a vague resemblance to the C1 Corvette (1953-1962). Looks like the bastard child of a relationship between the C1 and Continental GT adopted by Ferrari parents.

The old vettes called that a cove - and they did look good on the vettes.

No wonder they made 456 Cabs and Estates and stuch, after seeing the Convertible and Shootingbreak versions of the 612 I'd be willing to pay to have one made if I was in that 'league'. Sensational beauty!

That's lovely. By far the best use of two-tone I've yet seen on a 612. Food for thought. Thanks.

Who's the company willing to undertake such a delicate operation?

Those early Vettes are gorgeous. No problem with a resemblance between them and the 612.

But we must keep in mind the fact that photos do the 612 no justice whatsoever. It's so long and sculpted it would probably make the original Vette look like a Mini.

I see no resemblance to the bloated Bentley.

Could do without the 2 tone scallop, but I do like the convert.

There is another thread in SHOWROOM, called Digital Special Coachbuilding. This should probably be merged.

The early vettes do look very nice... But, GM designers took that "scallop" appearance from the "Ingrid Bergmann" Ferrari 375MM that was purchased by her husband Roberto Rossellini. The car is a one off and there is no secret about GM designers being influenced by Italian design over the years...

that looks fantastic. I started a thread when the 612 made it's debut asking a photoshopper to make it like this. I can't believe it's actually caught on!! That just looks awesome.
