    Thanks for the info.

However, are those interior carbon kits still available? If so, by whom?

    Thanks again.

They should be still available from Ferarri. I know my dealer in the UK is able to order them. I enquired about the dash kit and said it's orderable albeit very very pricey!!

I'm contemplating either the carbon kit or changing out my crema interior for a beige interior.

i think the carbon kit is personal choice but imo retrimming the whole car is inadvisable as these are already collectable cars and original is best.
you will love the car either way!

As long as an original Ferrari accessory or part is used, value is unaffected and may actually increase. Long time before that becomes an issue. This is not like putting a 512 BB nose on a 365 GT4 BB.

    Thank you, a terrific resource.

I have always been confused by the availability/order ability of carbon fibre parts for older Ferrari/Maserati models such as the 575, 612 & Maserati GranSport.

Should carbon parts still be available for these models? (obviously the Scag based on the first post, but the other two?)

I believe they make these parts as they are ordered. They certainly aren't on the shelves. The margins are so high on these parts, they can afford to manufacture them one at a time. I know my 612 rear wheel well lip was made upon ordering.

    Thanks heaps.

So one can assume (and hope!) that these parts will remain attainable new from the factory for another decade or so?

I would think they have arrangements with the manufactures such that the prices just continue to reflect their willingness or ability to still create them. I.E. continue to make it worth their while.

I just ordered a piece of CF for my 575M seat trim and was told the factory had two or three on the shelf. Only took about three days total from order to the factory to arrival in the UK. On its way here now.

Taz, what your view on changing my crema interior to the beige interior that I member on here is selling? It's the beige interior from a damaged OTO.

Not to be contrarian, and the beauty of owning a car is doing what you want with it, but I would skip the carbon fiber in a 612. This is a big, heavy car and the carbon fiber seems to be a bit of out of place race car fashion. I have a caterham superlight R, and that thing is heavy with carbon fiber (nose cone, fenders, dash), but on that stripped down go kart it seems to make sense. I would also keep your crema interior - I think it looks great against the dark exterior.

But, its your car, so enjoy.

If you want it and the price is reasonable, go for it. Crema is the interior color (colour) of choice in the land of RHD, beige in the US, and I prefer beige because it shows dirt and marks less. I like cuoio even better than beige.

Disclaimer, my interior is charcoal, but my seats will be redone in cuoio with charcoal Daytona stripes in the future.

Sure, I think they do this for some parts (make in batch and then inventory) and for others they likely wait until the demand registers via an order (and then perhaps make just what is demanded in that order or a few to put on the shelf it that is most efficient for them.

It is starting to hurt my feelings that I am only "Formula Junior" despite performing and documenting an entire 612 rebuild on this forum! Can I get a forum promotion here; someone throw me a bone here...

Strictly based on the number of posts. No other requirement.

On the CF parts, entirely plausible. As always with Ferrari, nothing is ever done exactly the same way again.
