    Good afternoon

My 2005 612, once warm and at a speed of 120 km/h shows a very low oil and engine temperature I think. When the car is stationary and the engine is running, both temperatures go up, but when you continue driving they go down again. I replaced the oil sensor with a new one a few days ago and it is fresh from an overhaul. I think it could be something in the thermostat. Attached are two pictures of the car driving and at a standstill.

Would you be so kind as to give me your opinion on this subject please?
    Thank you very much

Checking the thermostat to make sure it's working well can be a good idea. Also, make sure there are no issues with the coolant levels and that the radiator is functioning well. Keep an eye on any unusual sounds or smells too.

When you check your thermostat, pull it out of the housing completely, and inspect it closely. You can test it's operation by putting it in a small pan of boiling water to see if it is operating properly. Also look at your water pump impellers, the OEM are nylon. You should be able to see them through the housing when you pull out the thermostat, or use a borescope if necessary. I have seen the OEM thermostat mechanically fail and the brass end fall into the impellers, damaging them. The result is poor water circulation at low speed and idle resulting in higher temps at low rpm and no leak. The thermostat on the right failed.
