You bought a 612 OTO for less than $100k USD? I see you're in Switzerland-- I don't think they are that cheap in the US...
I paid just over 120k and I think the original price would have been somewhere in the 460-480 range. There is CHF appreciation since then to factor in (new cars are now cheaper) so I guess it would be more like 30% adjusted for that? Most non-special edition F cars seem to flatten out around that level.
Car is 2008. When I said 460 - 480 that is chf which at the time was something like Eur 300k and maybe $350-400k depending on which day you pick. Now we are at parity to the $ and 1.1 to the Euro so a Eur 300k car now costs closer to chf 330k. Distorts the depreciation for cars in CH for the last few years.
Giani - congrats on the OTO. You will come to appreciate it more and more each day. They styling is so classic and enduring - like an Armani suit. And you have one the best examples you can have in my opinion. Cheers to you buddy.
Hmmm it's good to see a car every now and again that I have no trouble resisting I do think I will need to implement a no denim policy for my 612 though.
And the proper looking Lusso that should've replaced it... For now- Even though the FF/Lusso is a Fantastic car, I'll stick with my OTO (also Great) and its sports car coupe roofline that, for my taste and that of many others, belongs on an F car Image Unavailable, Please Login
drop the FF engine/transmission/4 wheel drive system in that ^^^ and they would have a winner for sure
It's just someone's photoshop of the Lusso's roofline, but I wish it was a production model. I feel like it's the car I expected when the FF came out. There was talk all over the net that they'd add a coupe to the FF platform with both V12 & V8 motors; I remain hopeful that that would be a reality
tres55 - It's the same car as in your January 27th post, non? Just listed through a different dealer this time? Which suggests what, I wonder?
tres55 - I recently spent a lot of time searching for an 612 OTO cars for about 15 months. I found one with low miles 5,500 at $135k the dealer had miss-priced it as a non OTO car but honored their pricing. Early 08s were non OTO cars usually w/o clear roof and mangneto and different sound system. All the other OTO cars with low mileage I found were asking priced $170k -$225k depending on mileage, year and options. The 09 & 10s were usually closer to the asking the higher figures i gather they made more 08s but when I actually compared the three years they were the same cars with same standard equipment - magneto switch, Carbon Ceramic brakes, Clear roof, Boise sound system w/backup camera and Bluetooth, 20" wheels, options were front sensors, shields, HGT2, SirusXM radio, spare tire, luggage, interior trim & seat type. I did see one light grey OTO car with higher mileage sell for $150s in an San Luis Obispo from a non Ferrari dealer. I was too late and kept looking. Also there was a Blue car in the Midwest for sale for a long time around $150k but it didn't appeal to me & guess not many others since it was available for several months. In California the prices seem generally lower than the East Coast not sure why that was my experience. I would have expect the opposite. Currently there is a good selection (4) OTO cars listed on cars.com
Yes it is the same car. I talked to the original seller extensively about the car. He is a well respected dealer who deals with unique cars and had personally spent about $20k on getting the car frontline ready (dash leather re-wrapped, full service done, new tires as the old ones were original, few other small bits that were normal wear/tear). The car sounded and presented great, I just don't have the space for it so I thought I'd share it here now that it's moved to another dealer. With the current conversion rate I think it's a steal for a US buyer...the Canadian market for such a car is quite soft however. IIRC it is a one owner, Canada delivered car.
Probably selling my 2008 pre OTO but with carbon ceramics etc early this summer - am in the process of buying a Rosso Marenello FF It has just had a full service and $1500 detail - is just sitting in a warm garage with its friends Will price it in the spring Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
John- Was looking to see if I had the window sticker from yours, but no, only 158062 and 159865 for 08 pre-OTOs.
