Does anyone have experience with a PIS adjustments (that is point of initial slippage) for optimal clutch performance on a 2006 Ferrari 612? Does this tighten the shift response?

    Thank you.

PIS is set with the use of an SD3 and optimizes the system to the best compromise between slip and stalling on initial start. You would most likely not notice the difference in normal shifting until it was way out of tolerances. Easy to set by your dealer if it will make you feel any better and they can give you a reading on clutch life remaining at the same time. Should not be more than an hour or so of shop time.

PIS value appears to be quite a sensitive parameter on the performance and life of the 360 F1 clutch in particular. I have not heard of any real concerns regarding the other F1 models, or the 612's unique sensitivity to it ----- I'm curious, is it problem lots of folks are having with the 612 as well?
